What we collect

We do not run analytics trackers or advertising on this site. We collect personal data only in the following ways:

• Newsletter subscription: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address, optionally your name, and your subscription preferences (which update lists you want to receive).
• Email contact: If you email us at contact@stopsueingvalve.com, we collect your message and contact details.

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Newsletter and email communications

Our newsletter is managed using Listmonk, a self-hosted open-source mailing list manager. Emails are sent via SMTP2GO, a third-party email delivery service. When you subscribe:

• Your email address and name (if provided) are stored on our self-hosted Listmonk server.
• Your email address is transmitted to SMTP2GO solely for the purpose of delivering emails to you.
• We use ALTCHA, a privacy-friendly CAPTCHA, to prevent spam subscriptions. ALTCHA does not use cookies or track you.
• You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us.

We will only send you emails related to the topics you subscribed to (e.g., lawsuit updates, consumer news, developer news).

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary means to run the site:

• Cookie banner acknowledgment: We store a simple flag in your browser's localStorage to remember that you have acknowledged the cookie banner. This is not a cookie and contains no personal data.
• ALTCHA verification: The CAPTCHA widget does not set cookies or store personal data.

We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or analytics.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare: Our site is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser, requested URL) for security and operation. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• SMTP2GO: Used to deliver newsletter emails. See SMTP2GO's Privacy Policy.

Data retention

Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Email correspondence is retained as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and for our records, unless you request deletion.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time
• Withdraw consent for data processing
